Despite initial rumblings that the surprise meeting indicated that FLOTUS would appear on Netflix's upcoming Gilmore Girls reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, Netflix confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that "It was just something fun Alexis did to support the launch of Michelle's Snapchat channel and her Let Girls Learn initiative."

Gilmore Girls fans will recall that in the show's 2007 series finale, Rory landed a job as a reporter on then-Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign trail. Her reappearance at the White House in 2016 would be the sweetest way to bring the show—and the Obama presidency—full circle.

The upcoming revival of the beloved WB series will consist of four 90-minute episodes, each of which will take place in a different season—winter, spring, summer, and fall.

Although Netflix hasn't revealed the project's release date, actress Lauren Graham recently told Ellen DeGeneres that filming is nearly complete.
